About Us
We at the Etowah Church of Christ believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and we strive to follow the will of God that is revealed in it.
We feel our purpose is to show God’s love to the world by helping those in need, to bring new people into worship and fellowship, and build our members up into people with the knowledge, skills, and drive to help others and spread the good news about Jesus Christ.

What to Expect When You Visit
We want you to be comfortable with us when you visit, and part of that is knowing what to expect. First off, feel free to dress however you feel most comfortable. You will see people in everything from T-shirts and maybe a suit or two. Just wear what you want.
You will notice that we don't use instruments. It's not that we don't know how to play them, it's that we are trying our best to follow the Bible's directions for worship. You may find it a bit weird at first if you are used to pianos or bands, but give it a try. Remember we are singing for God, and he gave you your voice.
During every Sunday morning worship service we remember Jesus's suffering and death by taking part in the Lord's Supper. Luke 22 is a good reference for what this is about. During this we will pass around some unleaven bread (looks like crackers) and some grape juice. Feel free to just pass on the trays if you aren't sure of where you stand in relation to Jesus. After this we also pass around a collection plate. As a visitor you are not expected to contribute, feel free to pass along the tray.
After this we have a lesson, normally from our preacher, Will Arnold. We have a nursery room in the back that you can take your little ones to if you want, but Will doesn't mind some noise, he even has a little one himself that you will probably hear from time to time.
